How this estimate works
Cash required = upfront materials / equipment + weekly payroll × weeks until payment + other costs due in that period.
The gap is cash required minus available cash / deposits, with a minimum of $0. A payment at week 0 is treated as available before costs; later payments do not reduce the earlier gap.
Use whole weeks and round up partial weeks for a conservative payroll estimate. Enter amounts in US dollars. Count each cost and deposit once.
This is a simplified timing estimate, not a full project cash-flow forecast or profitability assessment. It excludes later costs, delays, taxes, financing costs, and changes you haven’t entered.
